I'm Martin Cheung — a strength & conditioning specialist based in Hong Kong. I train people for a living. Some are competitive athletes chasing personal bests. Others are busy professionals, active adults, or swimmers looking to drop time. My job is to help you build strength that actually transfers — to your sport, your daily life, or whatever matters most to you.
About Martin
Strength & Conditioning Coach Hong Kong
I grew up in Windsor, Canada, and I've been in the gym since I was 14.
I swam my whole life and competed as a student-athlete through high school and university at the University of Regina, where I majored in Human Kinetics (Kinesiology) and completed a Business Certificate.
That experience taught me that strength training for athletes needs to be intentional — it has to translate to the sport.
After university, I moved to Hong Kong for a strength & conditioning internship. I never left. Now I train clients in person across Hong Kong Island (Sheung Wan, Central, Mid-Levels, and surrounding areas) and coach athletes remotely around the world.
Hong Kong
Strength is the foundation.
Movement is the expression.
My approach combines evidence-based strength training with a deep understanding of athletic movement — particularly in the water. Whether you're a competitive sprinter chasing milliseconds or a busy professional wanting to move without pain, I build programs that are intentional, progressive, and tailored to you.
Maui, Hawaii
I train Hong Kong's general population and athletes to move better, get stronger, and stay injury-free. And if you're a competitive swimmer — whether in Hong Kong or anywhere in the world — I offer specialized strength & conditioning for sprinters that most trainers simply cannot provide.
Currently coaching: A top Hong Kong professional swimmer remotely (based in the Netherlands) through video calls and messaging.
